LAUREN HOPKINS PROMOTED TO DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

GREENSBURG, PA – The National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Lauren Hopkins to Deputy Executive Director of the National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho.  Ms. Hopkins joined the National Staff in the 2012 fall semester as Director of Fraternal Operations.

Lauren Hopkins is a 2008 graduate of Gannon University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Elementary Education. In 2010, she graduated from Kent State University with a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta.

Lauren is actively involved in her local community and the Fraternal Community.  She has served as a volunteer with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America – Western PA and WV chapter and is a member of the Partners (Young Professionals) Board at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Lauren has served as a facilitator at the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute, Tri Sigma Officer Academy, and Sigma Kappa Regional Leadership Conference. She has served as a Lead Facilitator for IMPACT. Lauren has previously advised the fraternity & sorority communities at Virginia Commonwealth University and Case Western Reserve University.

As Deputy Executive Director Lauren will be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and management of the Educational Leadership Instructors (ELIs). She will be an integral part of the fraternity operations including education and accountability, alumni engagement, communications, office operations, volunteer services, and technology.  In the absence of the Executive Director the Deputy Executive Director will act on his behalf.  National Fraternity President, Gene Spencer stated “the appointment of Ms. Hopkins as the Deputy Executive Director is a critical step for the National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho.  This appointment reflects the quality of the impact she has had on the operations and growth of the Fraternity over the last four years, while also building leadership capacity in the organization at the strategic level.”

Kappa Delta Rho is an American college social fraternity spread throughout the United States. The fraternity places emphasis on Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, Service, and Tradition.
