Eleven Men at Oregon State University Petition to Begin Recolonization Process

GREENSBURG, PA – On May 29th the Board of Directors of the National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho accepted a petition from eleven men at Oregon State University to form a Group of Intent and begin the process of reestablishing the Fraternity’s Sigma Chapter. The recognition was the product of a strong partnership between the Sigma Alumni Corporation and the National Office to engage with students interested in beginning anew the legacy of Kappa Delta Rho at Oregon State.
The Board of Directors voted unanimously to accept the Group of Intent petition from Mikael J. Stuart ’15, Kody J. Cayson ’13, Vaughn E. Emmons ’13, Kevin A. Zerzan ’15, Gabriel P. Acosta ’15, Devin G. Hero ’15, Daniel E. Child ’15, Sam T. Heck ’14, Alec M. Ramsey ’15, Patrick E. Thom ’15, and Zachary T. Baker ’14. A dedicated Educational Leadership Instructor from the National Office has been working with the Sigma Alumni Corporation and students at Oregon State for the past four months to develop the group, which is on track to become a Provisional Chapter in Fall 2012 and an Active Chapter in Spring 2013.
Recently elected group Consul Kody Cayson stated “Being a part of something bigger than yourself and being able to build relationships that will last throughout a lifetime brought me into the KDR brotherhood. Hopefully with some hard work we can get KDR running better than ever.” when asked about his desire to restart KDR at Oregon State. Recently elected Pontifex Daniel Child also explained that “Before I leave this school, I want to know I have made a lasting impression, something that I would be proud of. When I was given a chance to be a part of a group who rekindles the flames of a proud and honorable fraternal group, I knew that this was how I would leave my mark.”
The Sigma Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho at Oregon State University was chartered in 1928 and active until 1992. More information about Kappa Delta Rho, the Sigma Chapter, and how to start your own KDR chapter can be found online at & at
