CHARTERS GRANTED TO IOTA & THETA ALPHA PROVISIONAL CHAPTERS
Culmination of Hard Work by Students at Bucknell & Slippery Rock Universities
GREENSBURG, PA – Yesterday the Board of Directors of the National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho, Inc voted to grant a charter to both the Iota Provisional Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho at Bucknell University and the Theta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. The founders of both chapters have shown that they are dedicated to living a life of honor and making a positive impact in their college communities. The Iota Chapter charter will be presented the weekend of April 11, 2014 while the Theta Alpha charter will be presented at a yet to be determined date in 2014. Inquires about attending the chartering ceremony should be directed to the respective chapter.
The Iota Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho was founded on November 10, 1921 and was reactivated as a result of hard work by the provisional chapter as well as a strong partnership between the Iota Alumni Corporation and the National Office that allowed for an Educational Leadership Instructor to be based out of Lewisburg, PA where Bucknell is located. The Provisional Chapter submitted their 78 page petition to the National Office for consideration on November 4th, little less than a year after a Group of Intent was recognized at Bucknell University. The 40 honorable men who petitioned from Bucknell will add new lustre to our name as Brothers of the recolonized Iota Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho.
The Theta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho was founded on April 4, 1981 and their return marks years of hard work by the membership of the provisional chapter. Their 53 page petition to the National Office demonstrated their successes and growth over the past three years. The 38 honorable men who petitioned from Slippery Rock University on June 17th will add new lustre to our name as Brothers of the recolonized Theta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho.
